남아공에서의 해동검도 첫 번째 경기

 

 

 

 

HAEDONG KUMDO FIRST TOURNAMENT
IN SOUTH AFRICA

Haedong Kumdo has grown from strength to strength in South Africa and this last week end was proof of the tremendous sprit and enthusiasm that prevails amongst the practitioners.

해동검도가 남아공에서 아주 강력하게 성장을 하고 있다.
2006년 4월 30일 지난 주말의 행사에서 많은 참가자들이 보여준 아주 대단한 열정과 집념이 그 한 예이기도 하다.

At the South African CTSD championships a special division was made for the Haedong Kumdo Practitioners who competed in Forms (Kum-bups) as well as precision paper cutting using wooden swords.

해동검도의 검법과 종이 베기 종목의 대회를 남아공의 CTSD 참피온쉽에서 별도로 치르게 되었다.

The tournament was hosted by the Nelspruit Wolves Academy and with the great support of the sponsors like the local Netstar group competitors received beautiful medals with the Haedong Kumdo emblem embossed on the medal.

이 날 해동검도 경기는 넬 스프리트 울프 아카데미에의해 주최되었으며, 이 날 경기에서 해동검도 로고가 새겨진 멋진 메달을 수상한 넬스타 팀들과 같은 강력한 지원을 하는 후원자들도 그 몫을 하였다.


Chong Kwan Jang Eddie Jacobsen was very impressed with the standard of competition which was high, both in the children and adult divisions.

총관장 에디 제콥슨 본인은 학생과 성인의 두 파트에서 높았던 경기 수준에 매우 감동을 받기도 하였다.

The next tournament will be in two months time and we are looking forward to even more competitors and continued growth in our country as Haedong Kumdo taught by Chong je Kim Jeong Seong is truly a wonderful art that can be practiced and enjoyed by all.
남아공에서는 대한민국의 김정성 총재님에 의해 지도된 해동검도로서 다음에 개최될 경기는 2달 후에 있게 될 것이며, 이 때에는 계속적인 성장과 발전 속에 더 많은 참가자들이 참가할 것으로 기대한다.

We are hoping to have regular tournaments and perhaps next year in April we could have a Korean and other International teams competing in South Africa.

향 후 정기적인 해동검도를 개최하게 될 것이며, 내년 4월에 있을 해동검도 대회에서는 한국을 비롯한 많은 각 국 나라에서 해동검도팀들이 남아공으로 대회 참가차 방문할 것으로 기대한다.
