Mustafa Balkan fing mit 13 Jahren an Martial Arts zu trainieren . Unter Großmeister Lee You Hwan und Großmeister Lee Yoo Young trainierte er Tae Kwon Do und das Koreanische Boxen. Später folgten WT/WC/VT was ihm aber nicht so recht gefiel , da sein Idol Bruce Lee war. In dieser Zeit folgten Freundschaftskämpfe, Meisterschaften im Tae Kwon Do wie auch im Kick Thai Boxen. Mustafa wurde 1988 ab Dortmunder Meister, Kölner Vizemeister, deutscher Meister. Internationaler Meister. Um sein Training zu intensivieren trainierte er unter Senior Instructor Ralf Kussler Muay Thai und Krabi Krabong. Auf langen Streifzügen durch die Welt der Kampfkünste gelang es ihm 1995 Kontakt zu Bruce Lee Student Steve Johnson zu bekommen .Sifu Steve Johnson veranstaltete an Mustafas, Serdar und Thomas Akadademy in Bochum ein Instruktoren- Workshop. Sie trainierten mit Steve 7 Tage die Woche, jeweils 6 Stunden am Tag. Danach folgten Lehrer wie James Te Beek , Richard Torres und Ted Wong , wo das Brother Team von 1998 bis 2002 German Repräsentanten waren. Im Jahre 2002 organisierten sie das erste JKD Seminar in Deutschland mit Ted Wong. 2004 organisierten sie das erste JKD Seminar in Deutschland mit Bruce Lee Student James Yimm De Mile . Er war Bruce Lees 2. Schüler in den USA direkt nach Jesse Glover. 2005 organisierten sie ein Seminar mit Jesse Glover. Im September 2006 wird Bruce Lee / James Yimm Lee- Student Prof. Gary Dill folgen. — with Kyoshi Mustafa.

Hae Dong!
We hope to host Grand Master Kim for a series of seminars here in Australia in early to mid December!
Keep your eyes open for the official notification in the next few days...
Seminar will include amongst other things, Theory of Hae Dong Kumdo, Ki Mu (energy training), and Ssang Kum (two sword method)....
Not sure about every one else, but we are SUPER EXCITED!
