Greetings Chong Je nim, masters and representatives,

First I want to thank you Chong Je nim Kim Jeong Seong and all those who helped him make this big and important event possible, despite all the difficulties that arose.

 

It was indeed a great honour and pleasure to participate in the very first United World Haedong Kumdo World Championships and certainly not for the last time! Like the Olympic games,

 

this event will certainly grow and develop to see dozens of more countries and HK people gather together, to challenge each other, to show our very best and to get to know each other as the worldwide Haedong kumdo family that we are.

Our team of six Finnish HK practitioners found the Championships setting very beautiful indeed, by a mountainside with a great view over Busan city.

 

 

We greatly enjoyed our time with the Korean and foreign masters and students before, during and after the championships.

 

 

 

Even though our trip was not without it's occasional obstacles, we learned much and brought home with us many good memories and experiences.

I wish all the best for every coming Haedong kumdo event all across the world and hope to see as many of you as possible in the future!
