5월 16일 17일 양일간에 걸쳐서 유럽해동검도 공식 행사인
해동검도 지도자 세미나가 개최된다.
5월 12일 부터 5월 18일까지는 핀란드 각 도장에서 조그만 행사들도
United WOrld Haedong Kumdo Federation 총재 김정성과 같이 이어지게 된다.
매년 개최되는 유럽해동검도연합회 주관하는 이 행사는
2010년에는 스웨덴 스톡홀롬에서
2011년에는 그리이스 아테네에서 열리게 된다.
유럽 전역에 있는 해동검도 관장 사범 이 원칙적으로 참석하게 되며
입승단심사시에는 많은 유단자들도 참석하게 된다.
특히 이번 행사에서는 금년 7월 24일부터 4일간 대한민국 부산에서 개최되는 제1회 세계해동검도에 대한 심판세미나 및 기타 등등 많은 중요한 부분들에 대한 행사 진행도 하게 된다.

Dear Haedong Kumdo reps, masters, instructors,
1) EU HK Union instructor seminar dates are 15th to 17th May 2009. Seminar will be held in "Solvalla Sports Center", located some 40 km from Helsinki city.
Friday 15th May 2009:
arrival of participants at Helsinki Airport, transport to training place (Finland HK will organize cars to pick You up from airport), in the evening Finnish Sauna. No meals included on Friday. Arrival in afternoon or early evening.
Saturday 16th May 2009:
07.30-08.30 breakfast
10.00-12.00 opening ceremony, demonstrations, promotions tests, training
12.00-13.00 Lunch
13.30-16.30 training
16.30-17.30 dinner
18.00-20.00 training
Sunday 17th May 2009:
07.30-08.30 breakfast
09.00-10.00 EU HK Union meeting
10.00-12.00 training
12.00-13.00 lunch
13.00-16.00 training -closing of seminar
16.30 transport to Helsinki city to chosen hotels.
19.00 Closing dinner in restaurant "Korea House" (address: Mariankatu 19)
Monday 18th May: participants return home

2) Price and payment of full accommodation:
Price for full accommodation is 95 euros. That includes overnighting from Friday 15th May to Sunday 17th May, all meals on Saturday and Sunday.
There are NO meals on arrival day 15th May, so we ask You to take care that You have some food/snacks with You if You wish to eat in the evening after Your arrival. Training place is in a rather isolated area, so there are no restaurants and bars within several kilometers from that place.
IMPORTANT!!:
Because Finland Headong Kumdo must reserve rooms and meals for participants, we ask You to inform us about number of persons (names) who wish to get full accommondation BY 23RD MARCH 2009. National reps are asked to send that info as onE LIST.
Payments of accommodation should arrive on below mentioned bank account NO LATER than 31st March. We ask national reps to make bank transaction of ALL participating members from their country before that date. Payment confirms that participants will get promised accommodation.
If payment is not done by above mentioned date, full accommodation can not be provided. Finland HK has to pay all reserved rooms/meals, therefore it is understandable that we need to get payments beforehand from participants. We have to confirm number or participant to Sports center ny 31st March.

4) Closing dinner in restaurant "Korea House":
Owner will prepare nice Korean buffet for us. Price will be known after number of participants is known, but it will be reasonable.
For overnighting between 17th and 18th May, we recommend You to reserve a hotel in central Helsinki.
There is very cheap and nice hotel in central Helsinki, called "Omenahotelli".
If reserved well in advance, You might get room with 50-70 euros - up to 4 persons in same room with that price. Reservations are to paid by credit card and made online only.
Hotel is very clean and nice, in perfect location in Helsinki city centre, but does not have personel at all. Everything (doors etc) is functioning with codes - all necessary codes are emailed after reservation and payment are done online.
When visiting their website, You can find an English version in the left lower corner of the opening page. When reserving rooms online, make sure that You are reserving room in Helsinki (they have several hotels in Finland).

6) Dan-doboks:
There are two ways to get dan-doboks and belts, this system is to be used from now on:
1) Doboks and belts can be ordered AFTER successfully passing the test and delivered by post to the national rep who hands them to promoted person.
2) Doboks and belts can be ordered BEFORE test, and delivered by post to national rep. Then national rep/candidates will bring them to promotion test - and dobok and belt will be handed to the candidates if the test is successfully passed.

8) About bamboo cutting:
Finland HK does not have enough plastic bamboo and we are not planning to order it for seminar. Therefore, You should bring your own pieces of bamboo - to be used in demonstation and tests. We have two stands, not very stable. That will truly test the skill of cutting...

9) Memory list of things what reps are asked to do:
1) Informing number of participants/country (names, addresses, birthday, present rank) by 23rd March
2) Informing by 23rd March number of participants (their names) who wish to get full accommodation.
3) Informing arrival times of participants. Arrival is to Helsinki International Airport (Helsinki-Vantaa). Finland HK will organize cars to pick You up from there.
4) Informing number of participants who will join us in closing dinner in restaurant "Korea House" - to be done by 23rd March (!). Please remember to book hotel in Central Helsinki for night between 17th and 18th May (!).
5) Payments of ALL persons wishing to get full accommodation are to done by 31st March 2009 through bank transaction.
6) Delivering applications of dan-candidates directly to UWHKF by the end of March 2009.
7) Ordering dan-doboks either before or after testing.

In general, this seminar is meant to higher belts: black belts and black belt candidates. We have a capacity for 42 persons for full accommodation. Therefore, in case that there are not enough rooms - we have to limit number of participants to higher belts.
Black belts will participate EVERY training during seminar. For lower belts, training will be little less. Some of lower belt trainings will be conducted by EU HK black belts. Lower belts will train in separate group.
This time, we can not accept white and yellow belts to seminar. If necessary, separate trainings will be organized to green -red belts (one group) and black belts (few groups, according to dan-degree).
Every participating country should perform in opening ceremony demonstrations.
