At the city of Ponce in the Pureto Rico

United World Haedong Kumdo Federation had a first HK seminar at the indoor Gym in Ponce City.

Many students with several instructors had a good time to train with Grand Master Kim, Jeong Seong, a Chong Jae of UWHKF all day at this first HK seminar.

HK Seminar was started right after the greeting of Grand Master Kim.

Haedong Kumbups(forms), Paper Cutting, Throwing Project Cutting, Sparring and so forth has been taught.

We expect many people in Pureto Rico will have more interest to train HK as well as participate in Brasil Haedong Kumdo Festival which will be held from 24th to 27th Oct 2008 and USA Haedong Kumdo Championship around the March of 2009 and so on.

Many kinds of HK activities in the country and out of country as well will be in action soon for sure with many martial arts people throughout the world, especially with Carribean countries and USA etc.

Next HK event will be supposed to be held at Sun Juan in Pureto Rico around November this year by Pureto Ricon HK Association

2008년 7월 2일부터 9일까지

사)세계해동검도연합회는 여러가지 대소행사들을 프에트리코 여러도시에서 개최하면서

한국의 해동검도 뿐만 아니라 한국의 이미지도 프에트리코 곳곳에 심는 계기가 되었다.

 

해동검도가 일본 것으로만 알고 있었고, 아예 이 조차도 몰랐던 많은 이곳 현지 무술인들과

사람들은 한국의 해동검도를 인식하는 좋은 계기가 되었다.

2008년 7월 6일 일요일 오전 9시부터 사)세계해동검도연합회 총재 김정성의 인사말로

시작하여 오후 5시까지 행사가 진행되었다.

 

화씨 100도 가 넘나드는 무더운 날씨 속에서도 많은 참가생들은 각 도시에서

학부모님들과 함께 몰려 왔다.

 

해동검도의 검법, 격검, 물체던져베기, 종이베기 등 해동검도의 여러가지를 보여주고,

한국의 신토불이 무술인 해동검도를 인식 시키고,

대한민국을 알리면서 수련동기부여를 하는 데 많은 노력을 하였다.

 

차기 프에트리코 해동검도 행사는 이 나라 수도인 산완에서 11월경에 하기로 하였으며,

2008년 10월 24일-27일 브라질 해동검도 축제 및 2009년 초 개최예정인

미국해동검도대회행사에도 참가하기로 하였다.

 

케리비안 해동검도 연합회(유니온)의 중심이 될 프에트리코 해동검도 협회,

향 후 이들의 많은 해동검도 활동들이 기대 된다.
